Middleburg, Va. - Goat yoga has been trending in cities across the world and it's now popular in Northern Virginia
With breathtaking views of the blue ridge mountains, hundreds of people participated in the newly popular form of exercise at Goodstone Inn. The Visit Loudoun Foundation partnered with The Little Goat Farm to bring the event to Loudoun county. The class of over 200 hundred included yogis of all ages. Participants say it was more about the goats than it was about yoga.
"I think I took about 1,000 photos and videos and went live on face book I did it all," said participant Cynthia Cabanillas.
"It's not really so much about the postures which we would focus on more in a traditional yoga class it's more about some of the other elements of yoga like being in the moment," said Beth Wolfe, yoga instructor.
Proceeds from the yoga session will go towards scholarships for children in Loudoun county who are pursuing careers in hospitality and tourism.
