Victims in fatal boating accident identified as Woodbridge brothers

CHARLES COUNTY, Md. - Two men killed in a boating accident in Maryland on Sunday have been identified as brothers from Woodbridge, Virginia.

Maryland Natural Resource Police explained in a series of tweets that Fermin Alvarado, 45, and Matias Alvarado-Arrue, 31, were on a small boat on the Potomac river, at the mouth of Mattawoman Creek, in Charles County, Maryland when the boat overturned.

Their bodies were recovered over the course of several hours on Sunday. They have been taken to the medical examiner's office in Baltimore, Maryland for autopsies.
