CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Two families have been displaced after a fire broke out last night in Chambersburg.

According to the Chambersburg Fire Department, the fire started just before 10 p.m. in the 200-block of High Street.

According to reports, the fire started on the second floor back porch of the duplex.

Seven adults and seven children had left the building before firefighters got to the scene.

The American Red Cross is providing shelter for the victims.

There's no word on the cause of the blaze.

"It's really hard psychologically when a family has an emergency or tragedy over the holidays. It can become quite distressing. This is where we want to come together as a community," said Allen White, Disaster Programs Specialist, American Red Cross.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
