CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Thursday night in Chambersburg, teachers and the school board met once again in hopes of reaching a tentative contract agreement.
The two parties met for many hours in hopes of trying to reach a compromise.
Over the last few weeks, representatives from the Chambersburg Area Education Association said they have made significant progress, which caused them to push back their initial strike date of Nov. 13 to Nov. 29.
Alex Sharpe from the school board did say he was however happy with the progress made at the meeting.
“So, we did a little over eight hours’ worth of negotiation. I’m happy with the progress that we've made. We've reached a more or less tentative agreement,” said Sharpe.
And Sharpe expects for everything to be voted on and finalized at the meeting in December.
