Chambersburg Council discusses Pedestrian and Bicycle Improvement plan

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - On Monday, the Chambersburg Borough Council met where they discussed the Pedestrian and Bicycle Improvement plan.

The draft of the plan came out in October of 2017. According to Borough officials, there are about eight projects in the city that need to be completed. Councilman Allen Coffman noted that the cost of all the projects could range from $5.2 million dollars to $6.2 million dollars. He added that many people in the Borough were influential in helping to put the draft together.

“People that were pedestrians, people that are bicyclist, people from the healthcare community are going to talk about it. A lot of different people had input into this and now this will be a chance for everybody to look at it and make final changes on it,” said Coffman.

The draft of the plan is on the Borough's website.
