Police say the death of Stevens was caused by sharp force injuries to his neck

BARTON, Md. - The death of a man that was found in a rural area of Garrett County in January has been ruled a homicide, according to Maryland State Police.
The Chief Medical Examiner's Office said that the death of 24-year-old Alexander Stevens was caused by sharp force injuries to his neck.
The body of Stevens was found shortly after 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 4. Investigators said he was found on a logging road in a wooded area of Pine Swamp Road in Barton, Md.
Police said no arrests have been made, and they believe this is an isolated incident.
WHAG previously reported that a woman was also found on the scene that morning, but Troopers are not commenting on her involvement with the case.
The investigation into the death of Steven’s is continuing, therefore details will not be released until the conclusion of the on-going investigation.
