Two Hagerstown residents charged for operating prostitution business

According to police, the business spanned multiple states

HAGERSTOWN, Md. - Wednesday, two people were charged following an investigation into an online prostitution business based in Hagerstown.

In a joint investigation between the FBI, Washington County Sheriff's Office and the Hagerstown Police Department, 25 year-old Lauren Jones and 25 year-old Orayl Dal Vonte Ingram, both of Hagerstown, were charged with interstate transportation for prostitution, aiding and abetting, among other charges.

The investigation started in 2016 when local law enforcement began looking into complaints about an online prostitution business.

The business, "Lovely Business Entertainment Agency," sold "escort services," which was a front for "sex for money" operations.

Jones and Ingram were operating the business from 2015 to 2016.

An investigation revealed the business spanned states including Maryland, West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C.

Jones and Ingram were charged in the U.S. District Court.
