Springhill Suites in Hagerstown evacuated after receiving bomb threat

The hotel was evacuated for nearly five hours, as officials conducted a search

HAGERSTOWN, Md. - Tensions were high after the Springhill Suites in Hagerstown received a bomb threat.
 
Just after 6 a.m. on Friday, the Washington County Sheriff's Office responded to calls from the hotel about a bomb threat.
 
The hotel was evacuated for nearly five hours, as officials conducted a thorough search of the area. Traffic was also stopped behind the hotel.
 
Nothing was found, and officials allowed guests and staff to re-enter the hotel just before 10:30 a.m. 
 
No one was arrested, but officials are continuing to investigate the incident.
