FREDERICK, Md. - For residents who are struggling to make ends meet in Frederick County, Md., organizations from the area came together to lend a helping hand.
The Prosperity Center of Frederick County held a fair that featured different representatives, from non-profits to county organizations, to educate residents about programs that can help them. Through learning about ways to save financially or programs they qualify for, they hope to engage the community more.
"We hope that every participant here today has a opportunity to learn about and connect with organizations that they did not know existed, they did not know they offered services,” said Veronica Henry, Housing Authority for the City of Frederick.
Twenty-five community service organizations were represented.
