New Windsor Lions Club holds 17th annual golf tournament

More than 100 golfers played at the Glade Valley Golf Club on Friday

WALKERSVILLE, Md. - More than 100 golfers from the New Windsor Lions Club spent the day at Glade Valley Golf Club in Walkersville.
This is the 17th year for the New Windsor Lions Club Golf Tournament.
The tournament is set to raise money for local non-profits in the area, including high school scholarships, food banks and people who are blind.
Last year, the tournament raised $6,000, and the director expects that number to keep on climbing.
"For all these people to come out and help to benefit others, that’s what we do; that’s what makes us feel good," said Dave Keefer, Golf Tournament Director, New Windsor Lions Club.
The club set the 18th hole in honor of their previous director, Kevin Bennett, who passed away last year.
