#FindUsFridays: Storer College's 150th anniversary

The college was the first school in West Virginia to educate newly freed slaves

HARPERS FERRY, W.Va. - This week's #FindUsFridays brought us to Storer College in Harpers Ferry, where the college is commemorating its 150th anniversary since it was first founded back in the 1800s.

As some may already know, Storer College was the first school in West Virginia to educate newly freed slaves, which is what brought WDVM's Justina Latimer there Friday.

If you are attending the celebration this weekend or have an idea of where WDVM should be next, send it to us using the hashtag #FindUsFridays.

Tune in next Wednesday night at 10 to find out where we'll be next week or find out now on our website
