Being an only child, she says that was her first friend; she was never seen without it at family events, narrating everything around her.

When Elina is not reporting, she enjoys spending time with the people she loves, meeting new ones, dancing, watching historical period dramas, and scouring the internet for new information.

Elina is an American-Iranian who is interested in the mystery that is the Middle East. She speaks fluent Farsi, and likes to read about international countries and their dynamics to keep up.

Elina sees local news as the perfect opportunity to showcase people who lead and inspire- and to shed light on the events that impact communities.
